My Life: My name is Meaghan, or Inwe if your a LOTR obsessor such as I. I live in a small town in New Hampshire and live has always been pretty normal. I have a terrible (well, not so terrible for me) obsession with Dominic Monaghan, so be warned. I love to travel and have been to New Zealand, Ireland, England, and Canada. I've also been to Australia and Germany if you count airports... I'm currently a high school senior and looking into universities next year. My dream is to go to a university in New Zealand, preferable Victoria University in Wellington, but we'll see.

Aspirations and Goals: I want to travel the world and meet people from all different cultures. I would really like to help in any way that I can. Reading Angelina's Notes on My Travels about her experiences with refugees, I really got into the refugee situation and would really like to help. Also reading The Motorcycle Dairies by Ernesto Guevara really got me interested in leprosy. Though, leprosy is by no means as bad as it was during the time of his book, it is still apparent and I would like to help in any way that I can. At this moment, I would like to study Anthropology in college and minor in film studies. However, if I go to school in NZ, I would like to major in Maori studies. When I went to NZ over the summer of 2004, I really fell in love with their culture and would like to learn as much as I can about it.

Loves: I love film. Watching movies is basically my life, whether you find that sad or not. I also love to read and I seem to have a talent for writing. I also love learning about all different cultures, and I hope to one day be able to experience them all first hand.

Personality: If you don't know me, I'd probably be described as the shy quiet type. However, those who have befriended me know that is not the case. I am very shy and it takes a lot out of me to even talk to someone I'm not well aquanted with, however can be very loud around my friends. I love making people laugh, even if it usually consists of me making a fool out of myself. I will put myself in harms way for the better good of the people! I'm extremely clumsy and tend to do and say a lot of stupid things. That's probably why I rarely speak out. I'm an observer. I would rather sit by quietly and hear what everyone else has to say than speak my opinion. I cherish silence and can't stand it when someone says something just to say it (even though I've been known to do this as well. I think we're all guilty of this). The main conclusion is that if you pass me on the street, there may not seem like much there. I'm not the most beautiful, talented, or even smart person. I won't go out of my way to start up a conversation. In fact it's usually the other person who will have to put the effort in to getting to know me. But once you do, I personally think I'm a pretty cool person with many varied interests and dreams.

Ernesto Guevara Quotes:

"What we have to practice today, is unity. We shouldn't get close to the town to say 'Here we are. We come to give to you the charity of our presence, to teach you with our presence, to teach you with our science, to show you your faults, your lack of culture, your lack of elementary ideals.' We should go eager to learn about them, and be humble in spirit, to learn from the great wisdom flowing from the town."

"That they'd be able to feel, in the deepest way, any injustice made against anyone, anywhere in the world. This is the most beautiful quality of the revolutionary."

"Knowledge gives us responsibility."

"I'd rather die on my feet than live always on my knees."

"If I die, don't cry for me, take up my cause and I'll live through you."
